Q: How did you develop this flair for making chocolates?

I have been fond of eating chocolates since childhood. During Covid times I discovered I had a flair for making chocolates. I always loved to experiment with new things so I thought to try my hands at making chocolates myself. I tried out at home several times till I achieved perfection. I formed my chocolate brand DB’owns on February 2, 2021.

Q: What is your USP that makes your chocolates stand apart from the rest?

I have my Unique Selling Proposition (USP) for my chocolates. Firstly, my chocolates are homemade. Secondly, I also offer flavoured chocolates. Thirdly, I emphasize the quality of the product. I believe in the timely delivery of my orders. Customers are my priority. I look after every order myself.

Q: Being an amateur, you nonetheless take care of quality and packaging. It must be an expensive proposition. How do you manage things?

These days customers want quality in a product and attractive packaging. They are ready to pay for it. But I must say that my chocolates are priced at a reasonable rate. My primary focus is on customer satisfaction.

Q: What major challenges do you face in trying to expand your customer base? How do you propose to overcome them?

All chocolate brands are facing the same problem of excessive heat and high temperatures. This year we had faced and are still facing a weird rise in temperature. In this weather, the chocolate melts fast. I suggest keeping them in the refrigerator after making them and then sending the order according to the schedule.

Q: What plans do you have for taking your business to another level?

I plan to create awareness among the masses about my chocolate brand. I want people to have trust in me to deliver them homemade chocolates. I wish to reach out to every household.

Q: Do you see yourself making pet-friendly savoury something in the near future as you are a die-hard dog lover?

I am a dog lover but I don’t think that I will make a pet-friendly savoury in the near future.

Q: Who is your inspiration and what advice do you give to aspirants?

My parents are my inspiration. My advice to all the aspirants is to do what you love doing by keeping in mind the pros and cons of the chocolate industry.

Q: Last but not least, how can one contact you to place an order? What minimum range should one keep in mind while doing so?

Anyone can place an order for the homemade chocolates on my WhatsApp number 9839054292. Either you can call or WhatsApp me during working hours. My working hours are 10 AM to 8 PM. Pricing depends on the variety and quantity of chocolates.
