Q: What is your latest venture all about and how did you start it?

My latest venture is dog boarding named Pawsitive.vibes.4ru. We launched a friendly homely boarding for the fur babies on May 27, 2024. The date is special as it happens to be my first dog's birthday. Since Ginu passed away last year, I was feeling a void though my other pet dog Pattu did keep me company. I wanted to keep her memories alive by giving the boarders a cage-free home just like how they stay at their own homes. I want to give an environment just like how I want my dogs to have.

Q: What major challenges did you face or are still facing?

The challenge is to try and keep my house hair-free which I know will not be possible since dogs do shed at intervals. Jokes apart, since we are still new in the city, it is taking time to spread the word about our existence. But, so far publicity by word-of-the-mouth has been good enough advertisement for us. We are also on Instagram so please do follow us there. Pawsitive.vibes.4ru is our handle & we keep posting some important stuff related to animals there as well.

Q: What is the USP of your venture that makes it better than the rest?

It is a cage-free homely environment with ample open space to run, a small splash pool to enjoy during the summers & emphasis on fresh home-cooked meals. Since I will not be keeping more than a set number of dogs at any given time, they will all get individual attention.

Q: What are your plans?

Since I have just kick-started the venture, I look forward to getting more publicity & getting more people to allow me to keep their dogs while enjoying their holidays/vacations guilt-free.

Q: What is your advice to those who want to embark on a similar path?

Don’t just take up this venture from a money-making perspective. One needs to put their heart & soul into dealing with animals. Each animal is different, breed-wise/temperament-wise & health-wise. Get into it only after you have done full research on how to go about it & all the things that you can handle single-handedly. You & your support staff need to be adequately trained to handle any untoward situation that might arise. Once in, give it your all & all the best.
